When you choose Two Dogs Pet Services, rest assured that your pets will be cared for by reliable, experienced and loving pet professionals who follow your every instruction. We stick to your pets' usual routines while providing the extra attention they crave when you‘re away. Plus, we'll send you regular updates, including photos.
When you hire a professional pet caretaker, you're making an investment in your pet's well being. Two Dogs Pet Services team members are knowledgeable, experienced, insured and trained. Our pet services contracts formalize our agreement in the event anything happens to your pets while you're away so that we may handle any situation the way you instruct. We make things easy for you to arrange your pet's care.
Here are some of the many pets we've cared for in the past years: Dogs, cats, rabbits, birds (i,e, parrots, parakeets, macaws), tortoises and turtles, fish, shrimp, crabs, frogs, snakes, newts, skinks, bearded dragons, alligator lizards, snails, mice, rats, chickens, horses, goats, ducks, sheep, hamsters, sugar gliders, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, ferrets, squirrels, lobsters, opossums and stick bugs.
For rabbits and other exotic pets, we can connect you with our local expert, but we do not board dogs or cats. We do, however, love to stay overnight and it's our most pawpular service! During our 12-hour "Slumber Pawrties" pets are pampered and have plenty of play and cuddle time. Plus, we provide additional in-home services including potty breaks, dog walks, waste clean up, and household care.
We are centrally located in Monrovia and serve our hometown as well as Arcadia, Sierra Madre, Duarte and Azusa. We will travel up to 20 miles for Slumber Pawrties. Visits more than five miles from Myrtle & Foothill in Monrovia will include an additional mileage charge. Since Jen and the whippets travel around the U.S., let us know of your needs and we'll see if they're on your route.
Our preferred hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7 to 10 a.m., 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. Overnight stays (or Slumber Pawrties) begin between 6 and 8 p.m. and last 12 hours or more. We do our best to spend time with our own families on Saturday and Sunday, so we try to stick to caretaking from 7 to 10 a.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. and Slumber Pawrties. Office hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
It's best to reserve dates as far in advance as possible, especially for holidays and Slumber Pawrties. Services are provided on a first come, first served basis, and we may accept last-minute bookings if your regular sitter/walker is available. Services booked within two weeks of your departure may require a deposit and cancellation fees are in effect. Inquiries are not considered bookings.
Yes! Our experienced sitters are trained and capable of administering oral medications and subcutaneous injections and fluids, according to your vet's instructions. Make sure to mention your pet's medical needs when you contact us so we can offer the best fit.
Your pet's safety and well being is our first priority. Should an emergency arise, we call you at the number provided on your client info form. If we cannot reach you, we use the first emergency contact and so on. Beyond that, we follow your specific instructions provided in your veterinary information and continue to reach out to you. We will always go above and beyond to contact you and ensure your pet receives emergency care when needed.
Most of the time there are no additional charges when we care for your pet. If there is an abundant amount of clean up (i.e. extremely dirty or regularly missed litter boxes, large amount of dog feces) or challenges with administering medication, we will charge a $3 to $5 fee per incident. If your pet is a puppy or senior pet that requires special attention, we may slightly increase the per visit rate. Be sure to check our Services + Rates page.
We're excited and can't wait to share more details with you. Safely accessing your home is typically a breeze and so are our pet care forms. We also take extra care with your personal information and never share it with others. We'll cover all those things during our meet and greet or before services begin. Give us a call and we'll answer any questions you may have.
How nice and of course! While our caretakers take pleasure in being with your pet, they also appreciate a little something extra (who doesn't?). A few extra dollars or a gift card to their favorite coffee or tea house are two ideas. The best thank you is to request them again, refer them to friends and family, and review them on Facebook or Google.
We're so glad you asked! Simply contact us at least two weeks prior to your service needs and we'll set up a meet and greet to get to know your pets and you. When you contact us, we will help you create your pet's most ideal care routine and let you know which online forms to complete.
